• Should I choose WooCommerce or Shopify?

  WooCommerce suits you when you want to own everything: platform, data, integrations and customisation. It's ideal for Finnish companies using Paytrail, ERP systems and custom processes. Shopify is the better choice when you want to scale fast, run the store without engineering support and use the world's best checkout. Visio Design builds on both. We pick the platform based on business needs.
• How much does an online store cost?

  E-commerce projects start at €3,950. Pricing depends on scope: a starter store is around €3,950, a growth store around €7,800, and a custom enterprise build from €14,500. Prices are excl. VAT. The price includes design, development, payment integrations, technical SEO, the first year of premium maintenance and a 100% satisfaction guarantee: if you're not happy with the result, you get all your money back and the store is not published.
• How is an e-commerce project paid for?

  Usually 50% is paid before the project starts and 50% before launch. The store goes live once the final payment is made. Two revision rounds are included; extra work after that is €85/h.
• You're a Paytrail partner. What does that mean in practice?

  Through Visio Design you get a single contract covering online banking, cards, MobilePay and invoicing. Settlements are fast, reporting is comprehensive, and your customers can pay with the methods they trust.
• Can you migrate our existing store from another platform?

  Yes. We migrate stores from other platforms to WooCommerce and Shopify. We plan the migration so that products and other key data move to the new store and old URLs redirect to the new ones, so your search visibility is kept.
• Can I update products and content myself?

  Yes. You update products, prices, stock and coupons yourself from the admin panel. At handover you get instructions for running the store, and you can always ask us for help later. You can supply product photos and copy yourself, and we'll edit them where needed.
• How long does an e-commerce project take?

  A starter store launches in 2–3 weeks, a growth store in 5–8 weeks, and an enterprise build in 10–16 weeks. The schedule is confirmed in the proposal.
• Can the store integrate with our ERP or inventory system?

  Yes. We integrate with Finnish ERP/inventory platforms (Visma, Lemonsoft, Severa, Procountor) and major logistics providers (Posti, Matkahuolto, GLS).
• Is SEO included in the price?

  Technical SEO is always included: product-page schema (Product/Offer), speed, sitemap, indexing checks and Google Search Console setup. Paid SEO means content SEO: keyword research, content production and on-page optimisation.
• What happens to maintenance and hosting after the first year?

  After the first year, maintenance renews automatically unless you cancel. If you cancel, maintenance simply ends and the store remains yours: you own its design, code and images. WooCommerce stores are hosted on Zoner or Seravo managed hosting, and Shopify stores run on Shopify's own platform. Urgent hosting issues are handled by the host's support, and we fix anything related to the store's development.
• Does the accessibility law apply to my online store?

  Since 28 June 2025, consumer-facing online stores in Finland must meet the accessibility requirements of the Act on the Provision of Digital Services (306/2019). The law does not oblige microenterprises: companies with fewer than 10 employees and an annual turnover or balance sheet total of no more than €2 million. We build every store to WCAG 2.1 AA, whether or not the law applies to your company.
