Overview
We collaborated with university lecturer Ilia Gugenishvili to produce learning materials for Åbo Akademi's international marketing course, covering customer experience, branding and marketing more broadly. The materials sharpen the teaching and serve as a complement to the course.
We believe strongly in teaching through practical examples, and the collaboration with Åbo Akademi gave us the chance to pass on knowledge and experience from our own field to future marketing professionals. The project also asked substantial research from us, and we learned a lot ourselves along the way.

Challenge
Our task was to put together a 20-page, English-language package covering the core macro-level topics of marketing in a way that's both clear and visually engaging. The material would be used by bachelor's and master's students, so it had to work both as a standalone read and as support for live lectures.
Solution
We designed and produced the materials as a visually engaging package and built interactive content into the slides as embeds. The content focuses on marketing concepts and on aspects of customer experience and branding: the ingredients of a successful brand, customer experience, problem solving, the hierarchy and creation of needs, customer satisfaction, the role of emotion in purchase decisions, perceived value, and cognitive biases. The material works as macro-level overviews of different areas of marketing and as a complement to live teaching. At the close of the collaboration, university lecturer Ilia Gugenishvili summed it up: "The content was relevant and interesting and the slides were beautifully designed."
