Overview
Ravintola Sharqi is a restaurant specializing in Middle Eastern cuisine, located in Turku's historic Kauppahalli (market hall). We designed a single-page website and brand identity for them. The goal was to create a digital experience that conveys the restaurant's ambiance before the guest even walks in.
The single-page WordPress site includes the menu, location and opening hours. The visual identity was designed to support the restaurant's warm and authentic Middle Eastern atmosphere.
Challenge
The restaurant had no website and no unified brand identity. Customers found the restaurant mainly through Google Business listings, but the first impression didn't match the restaurant's actual atmosphere.
Solution
We created a unified brand identity that combines typography, color palette, and illustrations with the restaurant's identity. The single-page site is fast, visually impactful, and works seamlessly on mobile. Headings, metadata and location-based schema markup were built so the restaurant is discoverable in local Google search on its own terms. Page speed feeds into search visibility at the same time.
